Can you tell I love mermaid designs? I wasn't planning on stitching this until the end of summer 2001, but when my fabric arrived from The Blended Needle I decided to start right away.
Changes to the chart: I wasn't happy with the left mermaid's face as it was charted, so I recharted it over-one. I added Pearl (032) Kreinik blending filament to the white and pale gray sections of the water, and to the rays of the sun. I was debating whether to use Pearl or Gold for the sun, and decided on the Pearl; here is a close-up picture showing how the Pearl blending filament reflects the gold cotton threads nicely.
