I started stitching this design as part of a Stitch-Along at the TW Bulletin Board. The fabric is from The Blended Needle's Color Blooms line; the gray-blues are similar to DMC 927 and the purples are similar to a paler DMC 211.

I changed the colors in the border, originally designed in golds. I used Needle Necessities #114 (blue grotto) overdyed cotton floss because the gray-blues were similar in shade to the gray-blues in the fabric. The backstitching for the border was done in DMC 3768.
