Welcome to my cross stitch pages! I had done some needlepoint since high school, but around 1997 cross stitch became much more of a passion that's still going strong today. I enjoy sharing my stitching with others, and I hope to encourage others to try this relaxing hobby.
Note: This is a personal, not retail, website. Cross stitch is a hobby for me.

I have a 10-year-old daughter who has shown an interest
in stitching.
She started on stamped xs shortly before turning 6;
her first project was a small blue whale.
She's also tried plastic canvas, which was easier for her to
learn, and made her own little bracelet.
In January 2004 she finally took the plunge and started her first
counted cross stitch project.
My favorite subject to stitch is mermaids,
my daughter's favorite is cats,
and all of the angels I stitch end up as gifts for other people.
My photo (a very small one) was published in the Xmas 2001 (#73) issue of
a UK cross stitch magazine called Cross Stitch Collection, in their
"Stateside Stitching" column.
Several people in the about.com Cross Stitch forum had been interviewed
via email by Carol Todd about how we got started in cross stitch,
and we were quoted in the article.
In early 2002 I was browsing through magazines at Barnes & Noble and
unexpectedly stumbled on the article--I had no idea which issue the
article would appear in, if at all. The group I was with had a good
laugh upon seeing my photo, and of course I bought the magazine.
